Comic Ricky Gervais has revealed that he turned down the chance to judge on Britain’s Got Talent this year.
The 50-year-old explained today how he had been approached by boss Simon Cowell to join the new look panel.
The Office star said: “I’ve been approached but I am not interested.”
Speaking to the Daily Star, Ricky added: “I don’t want to hear people’s opinions on my comedy or anything else, so why should I give it publicly about anyone else’s?”
BGT boss Simon eventually signed fellow comedian David Walliams for the new look panel, along with former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon.
Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV1 next year.
