Britain’s Got Talent 2012 winner Ashleigh Butler is spending some of her £500,000 prize money on protecting her dog Pudsey!
The pair, who won the latest series of BGT earlier this month, have been the target of threats of dognapping, it has been claimed.
With Pudsey set to earn millions with his routines, and already receiving invites to appear on shows across the world, Ashleigh is keen to protect her pooch.
According to The Sun, Ashleigh has spent some of her prize money on building a secure kennel for Pudsey.
A source told the newspaper: “A pile of bricks and mortar is probably not what most people would spend some of their half a million quid on, but for Ashleigh it’s essential.
“Pudsey is Britain’s most recognisable dog and a real temptation for dognappers.
“So they’ve booked a firm to come round, rip down the old wooden fence and install a proper brick wall.”
Meanwhile it’s been revealed that Ashleigh and Pudsey had to turn down the chance to appear on America’s Got Talent.
The pair were invited to perform on the live shows of the US telly show, but had to turn it down due to other commitments.
