Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh has revealed that worn-out Pudsey will be taking a well deserved rest this week!
The pair won £500,000 and a spot on the bill of this year’s Royal Variety Performance on Saturday night, after winning the latest series of BGT.
Speaking to Daybreak’s Dan Lobb and Kate Garraway earlier in the week, Ashleigh said: “I am overwhelmed by the support that we have received from everyone and we both would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who picked up the phone for us and voted.”
And asked how she celebrated her win, the 17-year-old replied: “We just had a massive party, and we had a dance with the contestants and my friends and family.”
Ashleigh went on: “[Pudsey] is loving it. The more attention he gets, the more he loves it. He is a bit tired at the moment, so I think he needs just a good couple of days’ rest. But he is brilliant.”
The down-to-earth teenager also revealed that her first purchase with the prize money would be a rather modest one: A new lead for Pudsey!
Ashleigh explained: “I mean first of all we did lose his lead backstage – he had a really nice black sparkly lead – and yeah we lost it backstage. So he needs a new lead.”
