Bookies are predicting that Britain’s Got Talent star Pudsey the dog will become a movie star by the end of next year.
The pet pooch of schoolgirl Ashleigh is odds-on to appear in a movie by 2014.
Ashleigh and Pudsey took the Britain’s Got Talent final by storm and the bookies chalk up Ashleigh’s four-legged friend at 5/6 to have a starring role in a movie before the end of next year.
The pair caused one of the biggest upsets in talent show history on Saturday night, however it’s Ryan O’Shaughnessy (3/1) and boyband the Loveable Rogues (3/1) who are favoured to taste the high life and reach the top spot first over pop-opera duo Jonathan and Charlotte (10/1).
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Move over Uggie, there’s a new dog in town. The odds suggest Pudsey’s destined for Tinseltown after woofing down the BGT competition.”
She added: “We’re expecting Simon Cowell to snap up Jonathan and Charlotte, but if he doesn’t they could be quickly forgotten about.”
Meanwhile, Ryan O’Shaughnessy and the Loveable Rogues are the favourites to become the first of this year;s starts to top the charts, with odds of 3/1 that they’ll have a number one single in 2012.
Jonathan and Charlotte are next, while The Mend are at 16/1.
