Britain’s Got Talent acts the Loveable Rogues and Only Boys Aloud were invited to audition for the show, it’s been revealed.
The Loveable Rogues, who are in the final after topping the vote on Tuesday’s semi-final, were invited to try out after being spotted on YouTube.
The group said: “Yes, we did get approached.
“The audition in front of the judges was the first we’d done.”
According to the Daily Star, some of the other acts have been put off by the news.
One told the newspaper: “When we found out they hadn’t stood around waiting for hours it raised some eyebrows.
“No-one can deny their talent but it looks odd.”
A spokesperson for Britain’s Got Talent commented: “We let people know about auditions in lots of ways.
“All acts are auditioned on their merits.”
Britain’s Got Talent 2012 continues tonight on ITV1.
