Britain’s Got Talent 2012 hopeful Ryan O’Shaughnessy is seen in showdown with Simon Cowell on tonight’s show.
The singer auditioned for the show earlier this year, singing an original track called No Name.
But it quickly came to light that Ryan had previously appeared on The Voice of Ireland, signing a three month contract after reaching the live shows.
Despite getting the boot in the first episode of the Irish TV show, Ryan’s contract has still prevented him from fully committing to Britain’s Got Talent.
The 19-year-old tonight goes before the judges to find out his fate.
“We have a problem,” Simon Cowell sternly tells him in a court-like scene.
Standing alone a part from all the other acts, Ryan tells the panel: “I wasn’t allowed to express my own music on the other show, but I was on this show.”
An unimpressed Simon tells him: “All you’re doing is taking the place of somebody else, who isn’t in your position on two shows.
“I’ll be absolutely blunt with you, we were going to give you a yes, but I can’t…you understand that”
As Ryan leaves, David tells Simon: “You’re one person I wouldn’t want to be told off by, I wouldn’t like it!”
Outside, Ryan admits: “Right now I know exactly what I want to do, I need to get home, get that organised so I can get out of that show and come back over here and do BGT because that’s what I want to do
Tune in to Britain’s Got Talent 2012 tonight to find out if Ryan will be able to progress to the live shows next week!
