Simon Cowell tells Cheryl Cole to perform 'Call My Name' on Britain's Got Talent 2012

Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell has told Cheryl Cole to perform her new song Call My Name on his show, rather than rival The Voice UK.

Cheryl has been rumoured to perform her new single, out next month, on the live finals of the BBC One series.

Voice UK coach and Cheryl’s manager Will.i.am said previously: “If it’s what she wants, we’ll do it.”

But Simon has urged the Girls Aloud star to instead perform on his show.

“I mean, given the choice would I do The Voice, or Britain’s Got Talent?” Simon said. “You know, I would go with the show with the bigger audience.

“But if she wants to go with the show with the smaller audience then that’s up to her.”

Lana Del Rey was the first guest performer on The Voice last Sunday, while Emeli Sandé will perform this weekend.

Scissor Sisters and Paloma Faith are also both expected to perform later on in the series.

The Voice UK live shows continue on Saturday night on BBC One.
