Britain’s Got Talent singing sensation Malakai Paul has revealed he watched his own audition in tears!
The nine-year-old singer was seen breaking down with stage fright on Saturday’s audition show, before eventually shining for the judges.
But speaking to the official ITV1 website about watching the show back at the weekend, Malakai confessed: “I was so excited and nervous. I ended up crying all over again, but they were tears of happiness.
“I couldn’t believe I was on the TV! My mum is so proud of me. I got lots of hugs off my family last night and we had a big celebration with cakes and crisps.”
And the singing star revealed: “I watch BGT every year and kept asking my mum if I could go and audition and she finally said yes.
“My mum is my inspiration – she taught me how to sing properly.”
Now it’s just a case of waiting for Malakai until the Britain’s Got Talent finalists are revealed.
He said: “If I get picked for the Live Shows I’ll jump up and down screaming. I’d also love to get another cuddle from Alesha!”
Find out if Malakai makes the live shows this weekend!
