Britain's Got Talent 2012 auditions: Amanda Holden 'won't be replaced'

Amanda Holden will not be replaced on Britain’s Got Talent 2012, it has been claimed, with bosses decided to stick to just three judges for the auditions.

Amanda Holden pulled out of auditions in Blackpool earlier this week after being admitted to hospital to give birth. Fortunately, despite multiple complications, both Amanda and her new daughter are now stable.

Speaking at the National Television Awards this week, Amanda’s fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams said: “It’s fantastic news that the baby is ok, and we’re all very excited for her on the show.

“We were all very worried when we arrived on Monday night at auditions in Blackpool to be told that Amanda was in hospital and that she was having the baby.”

But he ruled out a replacement for Amanda for the upcoming audition shows, which continue in Wales tomorrow.

He revealed: “I don’t think we’ll get a replacement. As it was last minute we went ahead with us three and it was fine. Although I hear Louis Walsh is always available.

“This job is the best fun you can have. I can’t believe they pay you to do it. You can’t prepare for it – you have to just sit there and react. It’s so much fun.”
