Channel 5 has signed a new deal with Big Brother makers Endemol for an extra series of the show, to be aired later this year.
Celebrity Big Brother originally took place in January, with a ‘civilian’ version of Big Brother 2012 starting in May.
The Guardian confirms speculation last month that a second series of Celebrity Big Brother will be broadcast after the Olympics in August.
The newspaper claims that the upcoming Big Brother 2012 show, which finished auditions earlier this month, will run for 10 weeks between May and July.
Channel 5′s original Big Brother deal, signed in the Spring of 2011, was for one Big Brother and one Celebrity Big Brother series a year, for two years.
Rumoured housemates the upcoming Celebrity series have included former Bachelor winner Carianne Barrow.
