Girls Aloud reunion a long way off as group call of plans for gigs in 2012

Girls Aloud have called off plans to reunite in order to help Sarah Harding recover from her recent stint in rehab, it has been claimed this week.

According to the Daily Star Sunday, talks for a reunion tour have been “put on hold” for the time being.

The group became the one of the first successes of reality talent shows, and have enjoyed the longest careers of any winners to date, having won Popstars The Rivals back in 2002.

However the group split three years ago for a year’s break (yeah, we don’t get it either), and there’s been few signs of any reunion.

Sources now claim that busy Sarah Harding and Cheryl Cole have caused plans for a comeback tour to be delayed.

“It will probably still happen but not for a while,” an insider told the tabloid. “Sarah wants to concentrate 100 per cent on getting better and Cheryl’s too preoccupied working on her new album.”

The group had been planning to celebrate their 10 year anniversary together this winter.
