Britain's Got Talent 2012 ratings the best for years!

Britain's Got Talent

Britain’s Got Talent is enjoying its best ratings for years, despite having been beaten by The Voice in the viewing figures last month.

The weekend’s latest show overtook the BBC rival, with 9.9 million viewers to The Voice’s 9.3 million.

So far, Britain’s Got Talent 2012 has averaged 10.3 million viewers according to overnight data, ranking it as the second best series ever.

Only Susan Boyle’s year, back in 2008, rated higher.

And despite The Voice winning clashes, on average, Britain’s Got Talent is so far the highest rated entertainment show of the year.

A spokesperson for the show bragged said this week: “Britain’s Got Talent is packed with thrills and spills, tears and laughter and we are delighted that it consistently continues to be such a firm favourite with viewers.”

This Saturday will see the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists revealed, whilst the live shows will start on Sunday and air throughout the week.
