X Factor judge Gary Barlow has reportedly demanded that Louis Walsh gets the axe, or he won’t return next year! According to the Sunday Mirror, the Take That star told X Factor bosses this week: “It’s him or me.”
And it sounds like Louis could be out, with the newspaper claiming that Simon is hoping to keep Gary Barlow on as head judge for next year’s show.
A source told the tabloid: “Gary and Louis have completely different ideas of what this show is all about. Gary wants it to be a credible singing contest and Louis sees it as entertainment.
“Although he’s been outspoken defending his acts and criticising other people’s, Gary hates all the pantomime rowing and thinks Louis is behind most of it. He is also livid that Misha B was voted off last week as he feels she is hugely talented. He lays the blame for that squarely at Louis’ door.
“Gary is unsure about his future on the show. Three days ago he said he was looking forward to it all being over.”
The insider continued: “The thought of another year with Louis is just too much for him to bear. He says he will only consider coming back if Louis leaves.”
However it seems that Gary needn’t worry, as Louis has revealed he could be quitting the show after eight years anyway. Earlier this year the Irish music mogul confessed that he was ’50/50′ on returning again next summer.
“He has barely spoken to anyone other than Tulisa,” a source said. “Many people think it would be best if Gary got his wish and Louis left.”
The insider insisted: “On a show like this, friendships get strained. They’ll always be mates whatever happens.”
