ITV are reportedly ‘fuming’ at the BBC for not moving Strictly Come Dancing’s timing next month when The X Factor airs its huge Wembley final. The two reality shows will clash for 15 minutes, worrying bosses.
Strictly has started to beat The X Factor in the ratings for the first time in four years this autumn, and the clash could mean more people watch the dance show than the X Factor final.
The two hour long X Factor final will air from 8PM live at Wembley on December 10.
“The BBC could easily avoid the overlap — all they have before Strictly is a repeat,” an ITV source told The Sun.
But a BBC source replied: “The shows have overlapped several times this year. Only now, after they lost out at the weekend, do they complain.”
