It’s looking very unlikely we’ll be left with any of the current panel next year, with Kelly Rowland joining Gary Barlow this week in admitting she’s unsure whether she’ll be back. The US star confessed that the stress and the emotions of the show had made her consider a return in 2012!
It comes just a week after Gary Barlow admitted the same fears, saying that the pressures of the show had come as a shock to all of the new judges.
“I’m really not sure whether I’ll be doing it again,” Kelly told Bang Showbiz. “If Simon Cowell wanted me back on the show then it would be something I would have to think about. I don’t know if I could do it again. We’ll have to see what happens.”
Joined by Gary Barlow and Tulisa on the panel this year, it’s not been an easy start for Kelly, who was forced to miss live shows due to illness and left with two of her acts in the bottom two.
“Choosing between Sophie and Misha absolutely killed me, it was an impossible position,” she said at the Cosmo Woman awards last week. “The girls are so focused right now and I truly believe one of them is going to win the competition.”
But if Kelly does leave, boss Simon Cowell doesn’t need to look far for a replacement.
Alexandra Burke – who stepped in for an ill Kelly two weeks ago – said: “It was great, a very surreal experience. Mr. Cowell needs to give me that call, I want to do it full-time.”
