Four rejected X Factor soloists were given a second chance on tonight’s bootcamp final, as the judges formed a new girl group. Called Rhythmix, the four piece became the eighth and final group to make it through to judges’ houses with Tulisa Contostvalos next weekend.
Made up of Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirwell and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, the girls didn’t even perform before being put through to judges’ houses.
The judges found themselves at the end of bootcamp with just seven groups in the category.
Kelly said: “We need one more for the Group category, now…taking two out of this group and one out of here and putting these two together…”
Tulisa added: “I think it’s a brilliant idea…we haven’t got that new, young, fresh girl group and you need that”
Bringing the girls back to the stage, Kelly told them: “Hello ladies…you’re probably wondering what you’re doing up there, huh? We truly feel that the four of you could bring something very special to this competition…we think you guys could work together.”
Tulisa said: “I want you to take a moment, discuss between the four of you and then come back over and talk to us.”
Gary asked: “Girls, do we have a deal?”
And with four yeses from the girls, it was off to judges’ houses for Rhythmix.
