While X Factor singing sensation Janet Devlin may be the show’s hot favourite to win, reports today suggest the nervous and timid singer is considering pulling out of the show. Speaking to the Daily Record, the Irish singer confessed to being scared about making the live shows.
The 16-year-old won a place at judges ‘ houses yesterday by wowing the judges once again with her performance of Aerosmith’s Don’t Want To Miss A Thing, but it seems like the nerves are finally getting to the talented teenager.
“I’m always nervous. I haven’t thought about getting through to the live shows, the only thing I can think about is what to tell people when I’ve been sent back home,” she admitted.
The youngster continued: “The reason I am so nervous is the whole time I’ve been singing in public I’m being judged.
“I feel more like part of the furniture and I feel like it is an effort for other contestants to talk to me.”
It’s sure to worry show bosses, after Goldie pulled out of the show this week after making it to the final 16. Louis Walsh said: “It’s a shame Goldie had to pull out but it has given someone else an amazing opportunity.”
