Girls Aloud are reportedly set to call off their planed reunion tour after being torn apart by “career jealously.” According to those infamously correct (err…) ‘sources’, only Kimberley Walsh is still up for the five-piece getting back together next year to celebrate their tenth anniversary.
The girls, who won Popstars: The Rivals way back in 2002, started a year’s break more than, well, two years ago.
“It’s bad,” a “top girls aloud source” – whatever the heck that is – told heat magazine. “The girls are struggling to even sit in one room together these days, let alone share a stage.”
Only Kimberley, our new favourite, is up for the group returning.
The secret source continued to blab: “There’s career jealously, jealously about how they look, who looks the youngest and who looks the skinniest, who’s got the best relationship… the list goes on. It’s hard to know where to start
And one of the worst rows is between shy Nicola Roberts and Cheryl Cole, after the Geordie singer got back with Ashley.
“Nicola doesn’t have a lot of time for Ashley,” the source explained. The fact that Cheryl’s back with him makes her angry, given the way that Ashley has behaved in the past. She’s had to pick up the pieces before and doesn’t want to do it again.”
The source also claimed that Cheryl was annoyed when Nicola approached her manager will.i.am for career tips at her birthday party in June.
“Cheryl wanted to enjoy her birthday party and was wary of Nicola getting any tips from Will on her career,” the insider added. “They haven’t spoken in weeks.”
Even Nadine Coyle managed to take time off from pretending to have a solo career to slag Chezza off.
“She says she hates how Cheryl’s made a name for herself in the States.”
