After their exit on Sunday night’s latest result show, we caught up with The Voice UK duo Matt & Sueleen yesterday to chat about their experience on the show.
The pair were feeling surprisingly positive, possibly due to the far that they seemed to expect their exit.
After being in the bottom two last week, Sueleen admitted: “It didn’t come as a massive surprise that we didn’t through on the show.”
But she added: “We’re felling very philosophical at the moment, we’ve just seen this as a continuation of what we’ve always been doing.”
The pair had nothing but good words to say about coach Sir Tom Jones, explaining that the Welsh legend was keen to let his artists evolve on their own and only step in when they needed his help and support.
Matt said: “Tom was great, very calming almost like a fatherly figure to everyone on the team, he wasn’t invasive or too hands on but would sit back and let you do your thing and let you evolve on your own.
“But if he thought you would be a bit lost, we’d ask him for advice and he’d give it to us.”
Asked who they were backing to win, the pair seemed to name everyone of the remaining finalists!
“It’s such a hard choice because they are all such incredible artists. Obviously on Team Tom, both Leanne Mitchell and Ruth Brown, both great singers, so it’d be great to see either of them in the final,” Sueleen told us.
She added: “But then there’s Tyler James and Jaz Ellington, but I really like Bo Bruce too.”
Matt concluded: “It’s really wide open and I think anyone can take it.”
