The media mogul is apparently planning a search for the best ‘traditional British recipe’, with the winner getting their dish manufactured by Marks & Spencer.
He’s even got a presenter in mind – comedienne Dawn French!
“I would love Dawn to do it. I know she has lost a lot of weight, but I am hoping to persuade her to put a tiny bit back on with me,” explained Cowell.
“I like home food, I love it. My mum’s roast potatoes. Shepherd’s pie. Cornish pasties. I want stuff like that on the show.”
Simon added that he ‘loathes’ the ‘yum yum noises’ made by Masterchef’s presenters John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
