X Factor 2011 hopeful Misha Bryan may have been full of confidence as she belted out Aretha Franklin’s Respect during her audition on Saturday’s show, but according to sources, the 19-year-old struggled at bootcamp. The Mirror reports today that the gruelling week left her a “sobbing wreck”, worrying show bosses.
Misha wowed the judges and panel with her audition in Manchester, with Gary Barlow raving: “That was absolutely fantastic. And you know it was fantastic as well – that kind of confidence we haven’t seen a lot of yet.”
Tulisa added: “That was exciting! I loved that audition, everything was brilliant. Your style’s on point, you have attitude. Best audition of the day, brilliant.”
But with the “toughest bootcamp ever” last month, Misha was one of many acts who struggled to replicate her audition success.
A source said today: “She forgot the words and burst into tears. This year they do not want acts who can’t handle the pressure and Misha fell at the first hurdle.”
They added: “She has a great voice and great potential, but she may seem like too much of a risk now.”
However an audience member at bootcmap told us: “Not Even Slightly True, Her Boot camp Peformance Is Amazing.”
An X Factor spokesman commented: “The welfare and safety of contestants is of paramount importance.”
